Ingredients

Campfire S'mores Dip
  • 2 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 Graham crackers for dipping

Equipment

  • 1 cast iron skillet

Method

Assemble in the skillet
  1. Spread the chocolate chips in the bottom of a cast iron skillet for even melting.
  2. Top the chocolate chips evenly with the mini marshmallows so they cover the surface.
Melt and toast over campfire heat
  1. Place the skillet on a campfire grate over medium heat or suspend it over coals, cooking for 8-10 minutes until the chocolate is melted.
  2. Continue heating until the marshmallows are golden and toasted, using the color change as your cue.
Serve
  1. Remove the skillet from the heat and serve immediately with graham crackers for dipping while the topping is still hot.

Notes

Pro tip: keep the heat at a steady medium level so the marshmallows toast without burning before the chocolate fully melts. Store leftovers covered in the fridge up to 2 days, then rewarm gently in a skillet to loosen the chocolate. Freezing isn’t recommended for best texture. For a dairy-free swap, use dairy-free chocolate chips and marshmallows.
